The Phoenix is seeking a dynamic Production Assistant/ Business & Social Media Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for online media, content and commerce, plus an interest in current affairs and the publishing industry. The successful candidate will work closely with the Advertising/Sales Manager along with the Production Manager to deliver advertising both in print and online, while also managing the organisation’s social media presence.
This is a great part-time position for a candidate looking for work that is interesting, rewarding and based in the best business area – Baggot St, Dublin 2.
- Location: Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2
- Part-Time (3 days a week), On-site presence required
- Salary : €120 per day
Requirements:
- Excellent spoken and written English essential
- Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Mac, PC, Microsoft Office, and Canva
- Highly organised with keen attention to detail
- Strong phone etiquette and good with people
- Experience with Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative content ideas
- Experience in digital/print advertising sales and budget management an advantage
- Interest in current affairs and publishing industry preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Advertising/Sales Manager and Production Manager with lead generation and emailing advertisers for the print edition
- Some sales – Researching and contacting potential clients, securing new business for online advertising, including MPUs, banner ads, and sponsored content articles
- Update the Phoenix website (WordPress) with sponsored content articles
- Manage and maintain Phoenix social media accounts, including scheduling posts and ensuring consistent branding
- Provide some support for Office Administration and Production Manager, e.g. answering phones, processing subscription payments over the phone, and updating subscription database.
